Built in 1924 by the Chevalier family, originally from Belgium, Villa Concorde is one of the only buildings to have survived the almost total destruction of Gérardmer in 1944 by the German army.
You can now stay in this exceptional building. You'll fall under the spell of its half-timbering, its large airy rooms, the original stained glass and marble fireplaces, standing in 5000 m² of tree-lined grounds.
Exceptional building
History tells us that the building was the residence of German Generals during the Second World War occupation, which is why it was spared during the great fire which devastated GÉRARDMER in late 1944, with 85% of the buildings in Gérardmer being destroyed. After that it was the main residence of several Gérardmer families.
Rebirth
Thomas and Michel Harasse, joint managing directors of the Compagnie des Hôtels des Lacs, purchased the house in 2019. They fell in love with the building and decided to give it back its original splendour. Massive renovation works were undertaken, resulting in the unique accommodation we are now delighted to offer.
